It is a rainy morning in Wisconsin which means my run will be on the treadmill this morning. Here is my feeling on treadmills...
But I am grateful for the opportunity to use a treadmill for free (thanks mom and dad!)
Anyways, some of you know me and others don't so I decided I will introduce myself today:
I am raising money for the Kellsie's Hope Foundation ($1,600 minimum is my fundraising goal). I will run in the Disney Glass Slipper Challenge. (NONE of the money I raise will go to my Disney travel expenses, it is ALL for the charity)
I attend the University of Wisconsin- Whitewater and I am graduating on December 14th.
Running and I have been pals since I was in 8th grade. My freshman year of High School I decided to join cross country so I could stay in shape for basketball... Little did I know running became a passion and playing basketball myself wasn't a top priority.
Even though I don't play basketball personally, I have been a WIAA basketball official for 6 years.
I will be 24 years old in November (if you would like to send me a gift then coffee is the way to go)
On August 18th of 2012 I married my best buddy.
I have 2 dogs who I treat like kids so don't be surprised if you see pictures of them in my blog!
My dogs are my running partners. Rusty, the golden retriever, has trained for ALL my races with me. Pretty cool huh? Bella, the terrier mix, is a newbie so I won't take her on any runs that are longer than 5 miles.
If you are in Wisconsin, stay dry today! I can hear the rain pouring down right now! Tomorrow I will blog more about what training plan I will be doing, along with the nutrition plan I follow on a daily basis.
ps: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
